Compose an 8-measure duet for two single line instruments using dice. Use a die that has 6 to 12 sides. (Need an electronic option for dice: https://rolladie.net ) For the first instrument, assign a pitch for each number. For example, 1=C, 2=F, 3=G#, etc. Complete at least 20 rolls and track the pitches as they occur for this instrument. For the second instrument, assign a different set of pitches for each number. This set of pitches may have some overlap with the first set you selected. Complete at least 20 rolls and track the pitches as they occur for this instrument. Add rhythm, expression markings, and articulations to both series to create an interesting duet.
