9/15/21 - Timbre

Compose an 8-measure duet for two heterogeneous instruments (clarinet and trombone for example). Aim to create moments where the timbres blend to create a new sound and moments where the unique instrument timbres are very distinct.

      Nice work incorporating the affect composing into the prompt. I can hear this music supporting someone trying to solve a puzzle or get past an obstacle on screen.

      The unison/nearly unison measures created a neat effect in the music, especially after you passed material between the two instruments.

      Be sure to add some expression and shaping to the piece to really highlight each instrument.

      Measure three with the melody up an octave and off beats in the trombone creates a nice effect.
