Compose a melody for a single line instrument without using any measures or bar lines. Complete this activity on manuscript paper to avoid filling the boxes in notation software. Once this is complete, determine where the most important landing points are in the music and designate these as down beats. What meter results from your work? (Simple, compound, complex, mixed)
